This is the Factory RC Yokomo YZ2 Carbon Fiber Shorty Brace with adjustable battery stop blocks. This 3mm Carbon Fiber strap has been lengthened to prevent the brace from popping out of the waterfall like the stock part, and includes adjustable battery stops instead of foam blocks, allowing you to run the battery shifted forward or rearward. Simply install the battery stop on either side, and adjust to your packs length to remove any slack. Remove a battery stop to allow full rearward or full forward positioning in the car. Fitment is snug and prevents the battery from shifting. This brace is designed to be narrow allowing for additional chassis flex in the car.

Factory RC Yokomo YZ2 Carbon Fiber Shorty Brace
I bought this because using the foam gets annoying. This design is excellent for eliminating that. The carbon quality is great and it looks great. The only problem is the space between the part that slides into the brace is waay too narrow and must be dremeled out to work. That is ridiculous for a custom made part.)

Factory RC Yokomo YZ2 Carbon Fiber Shorty Brace
Beware....there is a very good chance that this brace will not fit with your current esc location. The original brace had a nice Y shape, letting your esc wires go between the top of the Y and run back to your motor and battery. This brace comes much further back in the center and may hit your wires, or even hit the fan on your esc. I am running the hobbywing V3 esc, with the battery pushed back. I am in the process of trying to find a spot to mount the esc. I got frustrated and decided to take a break and write this review. I probably will be able to find a new location for the esc, but it just sucks having to pull all my electronics out to try and make this work. I also did have to file the notch in the brace for the waterfall. At first i tried shaving it with a utility knife, but that did not work. Using a file worked well and only took a minute. Good luck, If your shopping for a brace i might consider a different option.)

Factory RC Yokomo YZ2 Carbon Fiber Shorty Brace
This is a great addition to your Yz2. I hate using foams in my battery tray since you never seem to have the right sizes quick and easy to access. The plastic blocks don't chafe my packs, keeping them nice and new looking. Yes I had to file a bit of material off of mine where it meets the waterfall. I spoke to the guys at Factory RC and they mentioned that earlier kits were narrower. A running change is in the works.

Overall I can't be happier. The brace allows additional flex in the chassis, which really helps this car out. The fit aside from the waterfall issue is top notch, and doesn't pop out like the stock piece did.)
