Welcome to the Air Screw - a FPV antenna designed for your Race Quad! Video Aerial Systems (VAS) has been producing high end FPV antenna solutions for several years. In the recent shift in FPV towards racing, Alex Greve (better known as IBCrazy) has designed and released this small and lightweight antenna.

With a low profile form factor, whacking gates or other obstacles is greatly reduced. Additionally, the antenna lobes, and cable are made in that durability is priority #2 on the list, with priority number #1 being video clarity. The lobes feature a reinforced nylon long hub, which will allow pilots to quickly re-bend the lobes back into proper orientation after a collision with obstacles, other quads, or Mother Earth.

Video Aerial Systems VAS 5.8GHz Air Screw Race Spec Antenna (RHCP)
Works great for me, all (4) of them, the 2 Race Spec versions I own and the 2 'original' RHCP Air Screws. No problems with wings or my Ummagawd Vortex 250 Pro at 350' up and half a mile or more out doing freestyle. I'm about to buy more, for the 4 high-end race quad builds I'll have going on this winter. Better than the often bundled Immersion RC RHCP cloverleaf, that's for sure. I use with an Attitude V4 (new Fat Shark OLED RX module) with a VAS MadMushroom, and a Dominator V3 with the Race Band diversity receiver and Mad Mushroom plus a Menace RC patch. Not sure why hand-made and tested in VA, USA would be considered mass-produced. There's a ton of variables in this aspect of the hobby, and quality equipment matters.)

Video Aerial Systems VAS 5.8GHz Air Screw Race Spec Antenna (RHCP)
A main delivered so quickly I got this antenna next day. I was super excited about getting my antenna because I have been in this hobby over 5 years and at the beginning IBcrazy was THE guy to get antennas from. They were such high quality.. I even learned to make them from a video of his. So it was obviously super disappointing to find out what piece of junk this thing was. Even first looking at it i cold tell something was off.. I measured all the lobes and was a little surprised when I found than one of them wasn't even the same size as the others. Folks I could have made this thing better my self without even using a caliper.. Still hope full I gave the antenna a try and WOW it SUCKED. it resulted in my crashing my quad and wrecking the vtx antenna and my rx antennas.. Ill never in my life buy another Video Aerial System product. Its now just massed produced trash.. AVOID AT ALL COST. Get a cheep pair of antennas for 12 bucks and you get better performance. This is no fault of amain they are still my number 1 source for fpv parts and they deliver to NorCal so fast it will make your head spin. AMain gets 5 stars VAS antenna only 1 stars and thats for the packaging and the fact that it came with a sticker...)
