Have only run it for a few weeks but it has been my go-to for fast, fun runs chasing turkeys on 20+acres. If you have a larger area like this to run in the XMaxx is awesome and the size becomes necessary. At a minimum I grab my E-Revo2.0 if not this XMaxx for anything out in the grass or over larger terrain features.
It can be fun on 6s, but yeah spring for some nice 6000mAH to 6700mAH 4s packs and get all you can out of her.
X-Maxx is Awesome!!!!! I waited to buy this, after jumping it off the dock ramps
At work, should of bought it a lot sooner. Awesome truck, just a blast to drive.

Fun to drive, on the rare occasion it doesnt break down. Had this truck barely a month. Nothing but problems. I’ve taken it out once, maybe twice a week since I’ve had it and only twice did something not break. Apparently it goes through wheel bearings like water, I’ve had 4 explode at $10 a pair. I’ve also had a pinion shred ($10) teeth off, a spur gear ($20+) same thing (about 15 teeth gone), both rear wheels have had their foam lined lump up into one spot, so I
had to replace those at $70 for a pair. And today about 10 minutes into my run, the throttle just completely cut out. Tried resetting the ESC, tried adjusting the throttle trim, didnt work. Now if I hold the throttle down full the truck either doesnt move, goes 5mph, or jumps speeds from 0mph to maybe 15mp and everywhere in between. if this is how easy and often it breaks when it’s new, I can’t imagine when it’s a year or two old. I figure either I got a lemon, or this truck is no where neae as durable as people claim it to be. So far, definitely not worth the $~1400 this thing cost... plus the $120 or so in parts so far.
I had my eye on one of these for a while. Was excited to get it, but so far it’s been very frustrating and disappointing. Now I have to call Traxxas tomorrow about the ESC and probably send it to them & be without my truck for who knows how long.
