This includes listening to our customers, and developing new standards and conventions that would meet the performance challenge.
The TRX 3.3 Racing Engine™ draws from a legacy of precision Traxxas engine design and manufacturing. Traxxas has always been at the forefront of innovation, beginning with the powerful and reliable TRX Pro.15. Next, the Traxxas EZ-Start™ system ushered in a new era of convenience and ease of use with true, push-button electric starting. EZ-Start later evolved to incorporate built-in diagnostic functions, LED indicators, a constant-voltage glow plug circuit, and more powerful starter motors. Then came the TRX 2.5, a marvel of award-winning power and technology that sent the bar for Ready-To-Race® performance to unimaginable new heights.
Fast forward to the present and 14 years of nitro engine development have culminated into the most powerful TRX engine ever made, the new TRX 3.3 Racing Engine. i have a nitro 4 tec 3.3 and the engine is powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............its unbelieveable.it comes alive after i put in the aftermarket highpolished silver aluminum exhaust pipes.its sounds like a F1 car blow past me...so loud...so good so awesome....
I had this engine in a JATO for prob 4-5 years. I never had any problems of any kind until I switched to a different fuel. I always ran TRX fuel. Decided to try O'DoNots fuel. Blew apart the con rod. Which it was getting pretty old but ran exceptionally well until it popped. I've been running nitro's for a hobby for many years. This was not human error. Just an old engine with really hot fuel. I will buy another as soon as I'm able.
I don't usually do this but for TRAXXASS's own good they should upgrade their p.o.s engine , plastic gears and make a quality .21 engine & get rid of their joke of an .20 engine . If I hadn't saw sooooooo many morons pulling & pulling until their arm falls off , then upgrade to any other manufacturers engine & have no problems at all with better power with almost any .21. ( FACT ) upgrade and be a happier traxxass owner . Tankgyrl
I bought won of these engines for my revo to replace the trx 2.5. It had alot of power after break in but after the first gallon it started to wear and lose power. Now it is really worn and has no power it can't hold a tune and over all it's was great for the first few times I ran it. If you are wanting to race a revo I would not recommend this engine. My next will be an O.S .21.
