Steering servo's are junk and same with the tires. Get better tires "proline Badlands" and better steering servo's do not get traxxas ones. Had mine for about 2 months now and that's the only issue I had so far. Traxxas customer service also gave me new tires and servo's since they failed right away. This thing is a beast and way to much fun though.
Saw it on shelf in the Houston store and I had to get it.
Great truck, mean stance, and it’s really big compared to other 1/10 scale RCs.
One complaint only and that’s the battery compartment. I run dual 3s 55c 5000mAh Floureon lipos in mine, in other words it’s a tight fit. Traxxas designed these compartments for their lipos for a reason and that’s to get you to buy them....DONT BUY TRAXXAS LIPOS!!!!!
I owned one 3s Traxxas lipo for my slash and that thing puffed up and caught on fire.Burned my chassis(that now looks very cool) and destroyed my esc. When I contacted them they said that they would make me pay for a new one, I thought ok it’s 50% off so why not. They said it would cost $50 to replace even though it was $70 something to begin with, last time I checked $50 is not half of $70.
All in all this truck is great, had some balanced tire problems but I don’t plan on keeping these talons for long anyway(getting Badlands).
No problems with the servos or esc so far.
I had my erevo 2.0 for 4 days an the steering servo quit working on it.
Buy spare parts upfront!!! Alum rear brace a must. Tie rods, 90mm limiting straps, spacers. Great truck. Just know you will be breaking parts and need them on hand. Watch some you tube with people bashing them to see what parts are going to break. DON’T use the self righting feature.
This car is awesome. Well worth the wait. I had to change the servos due to the stock ones failing. None the less im glad i did. Car is amazing after a few mods. Stock tires are the worst. I prefer a bead-lok wheel & tires with a more durable & stronger compund(Pro-Line Badlands). Besides the normal Traxxas issues with all of there cars. By far my favorite.
Hope this helps.
This a great and fun truck so far no carnage, the only upgrades I did was the aluminum rear chassis brace and 85mm limit straps from Hot Racing for the rear suspension, overall the truck is worth it.
I've had mine for about eight months.
I'm enjoying it, it's really fun to use. But I've already broken many pieces...
I replaced the rear chassis bracket with the Traxxas aluminum. The tire ripped and I ended up buying the Talon again (I think next time I'm going to Badlands). I carbon-reinforced the rear suspension parts and stopped cracking. Several pieces broke because of fatigue ... I think the most certain thing would be to use with 4s but after using it in 6S you can not go back. Now the gears of the plastic servos have broken ... I bought here in Ammain the metal gear kit of the own Traxxas because the servants of the Savox are very expensive.
Anyway, it's my first 1/10, I like it but I do not know if those breaks are normal (I put it a lot in skate park where most breaks happen). Also, it's too big that I end up using less than my 1/16 e-revo (which goes in my backpack everywhere)! Anyway, this big boy gives me a job, scares the kids, people hate him in the parks but he guarantees hours of fun, rss
The E-Revo 2.0 is the best RTR under $700. I knew this monster was going to impress me but damn. Traxxas has really outdone themselves with this one. Im extremely hard my trucks so i break things almost daily. Of course I broke something the first day within 20 minutes of getting it but it was just a toe link that got bent $8. I have tried for the last 4 days to break something and I cannot do it. I've tried everything short of smashing into a wall at 50 mph. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a durable fast amazing vehicle
This is a fantastic truck, BUT you need to give the suspension a once-over before you drive it to make sure the shocks and push rod ends don't get over extended. It was a pain to own at first but once I got the suspension kinks figured out it very quickly became one of my top 5 favorites for bashing! Xmaxx is without a doubt a better truck than this one(xmaxx needs fewer upgrades to be ultra reliable), but the Erevo 2.0 is not far behind!
I love this thing. The new diffs are bulletproof.Yes new circuit board on the 2075 servos fail. And Esc is hit miss if it will fail. Traxxas customer services are doing great job keeping up with replacement for customers. I personally have Xmaxx 8s power on mine for over a month and drive line is Awesome. Btw im part of the Revo 2.0 owners group on Facebook. So i have seen mostly everything that has happened with the this Model.
THIS THING IS A BEAST just note that the servos work amazingly until they either break or get misaligned but I just went with the Traxxas higher speed and torque one and it is amazing. the removable wheelie bar that you can buy separately is also just brilliant I love it so much.
Very durable as well. I flew off of a gravel pile went about 15 feet in the air, landed on its top but everything was just fine. I would highly recommend this for those who do quite a bit of bashing with their rc cars
The truck is a blast to drive and jump. Be sure to get aluminum push rods and toe links, chassis brace, rpm rod ends short and long and research limiting straps. You will need to ge tthe 80mm straps for the rear. Its a great truck once you get all these things, until you do that it will continue to break at the weakest links.
Motor blew up within the first 3 days.i don’t know if it was defective or what but either way HobbyTown won’t take it back and give me a new one even though it hasn’t been 30 days and it’s defective so now I have to go through a bunch of bullcrap to get it either fixed or replaced by Traxxas.Very bad customer service, very disappointed.
I absolutely HATED this car! Out of the box from the factory the 2 servos aren't properly aligned, so you have to fix that first. I fixed that, but still the two 2075 servos failed and broke teeth in the gears. Traxxas replaced the servos on warranty and the new ones failed also in the same manner. I went with a single high powered metal gear Savox and had to install an external BEC, but the steering problems were on going. The next problem was that the steering would never return to center and it could not be resolved with steering trim. I found out the spring in the bellcrank needed to be stiffened. I purchased the stiffer spring and added some washers/shims to add preload and finally I resolved my steering issues.
Next, within a couple weeks of purchasing this car, the ESC out of nowhere one day just started flashing red and would not work anymore. Traxxas replaced the 6s ESC on warranty through my hobbyshop and the new replacement did the exact same thing a week later. The motor was fine, but I gave up on Traxxas electronics and went with the Hobbywing Max8 combo which worked great! I just want to note that I did NOT crash or abuse this car, all these problems happened under normal operation. This car was down and broken more than I have been able to drive it.
When this car is working (which was rare) it is fun,but the camber is hard to dial in and retain, the dust boots always rip and tear, the car traction rolls very easily and you are limited in battery sizes. One day I was driving it and a 3s lipo exploded and set on fire in it. I was able to save the car, but I am convinced that my car is cursed and I gave up on the E-Revo 2.0. I dumped a lot a time and money into this car it was a complete waste. I am now trying to sell mine and get rid of it once and for all.
Just got this Traxxas e-revo 2.0 and wasn't surprised that it was junk. Definitely for RC noobs, I'll stick to my Arrmas from now on. RIP Traxxas
all That wait for junk. This is good for rc noobs only. I’ll stick with my Mugen truggy
Would like to leave a review but I don't have it yet. It has been on order since Feb 16
THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED FROM ALL TRAXXAS SERVOS.ALL TRAXXAS SERVOS SUCK AND HAVE TO BE UPGRADED.THE THING WITH THE VXL ELECTRONICS AND TRAXXAS RADIOS .IS THEY ETHER WORK OR THEY DON'T.I JUST GOT MY TRAXXAS UDR IN AND I HAD TO SEND IT BACK TO TRAXXAS BECAUSE THE ESC WAS DEFECTIVE.>>>..............MAN THAT'S NUTS.TRAXXAS HAS ALL THE PARS OUT FOR THE E-REVO 2.0 BUT NOT THE TRUCK.Im STILL WAITING FOR THIS TRUCK AND THE TRX4 LONG ARM LIFT KIT.I hop they will have it out buy the end of the month or sooner.
This back order issue is getting old. Until I have a product to review I will leave my rating the the same. Not necessarily Amain problem, but over 2 months in delay from last I heard, not good service on traxxas part.
