Volantex R/C Super Cub RTF Sport Park Flyer Airplane
4/24/17 So far very disappointed with this product. The only good thing so far was the delivery was spot on with timing. From there it just goes down hill. Though R/C planes are fairly self explanatory as far as assembly, the instructions were mediocre at best. No mention of which screws to use at what time, as well as one has to figure out half the steps due to minimal information in the manual. What should have taken no more than 20 minutes based on the amount of assembly required, this took nearly an hour to fill the gaps and constantly switching screws to different holes because of lack of guidance. Not to mention that installing the propeller is a painful process as the only way to do that is to stick a screwdriver (supplied) into the motor to "lock it" so that you can use a 3mm wrench (not supplied) to turn a locking nut on the shaft. I guess Volantex thinks the average R/C pilot has fingers like the Hulk. Eventually got it assembled and went straight to do an operational test to ensure proper connections and alignment of control surfaces. Turns out the dummy that packaged it had the elevator and rudder connections reversed, so I had to disassemble it and reassemble it again. Furthermore, the instructions do not make clear mention of the different functions of the remote, leaving one to guess. Turns out the switch up top (whatever they call the modes) switches between high and low deflection of the control surfaces, directly impacting flight performance. With it being set to the "high" mode, not knowing it was, (discovered that later), I went to an open area on a clear day with minimal wind. Needless to say that the first flight lasted all of 2 seconds as immediately after takeoff (again with deflection on high) it did a loop and nose-dove right into the pavement. So after taping the nose cowl for stability and switching out the broken propeller for the extra one they give you (queue painful propeller process), I tried another flight for another 5 seconds before the plane looped and flipped out of control again, (high deflection), and smashed the remaining propeller. I feel this plane could be loads of fun and be reasonably easy to fly had the instructions not been half in texting lingo ("pls") and half not present. I will order new propellers (back order as it seems I'm not the first with these troubles) and try again. If I have better luck the second go round, I may revise this review, if not, I'll make a second review and advise others to choose a different plane.

6/22/17 So after nearly two months, there are still no replacement parts available, and this now $100 paperweight gathers dust in my closet. Very very disappointed in both the manufacturer for poor construction and illiterate instructions, and HobbyTown for not even bothering to restock parts for a product they carry, (especially since propellers are the most likely part to be broken). Please do not purchase this kit, find another better reviewed one, and preferably from a different retailer.)
