I bought an Axial Capra which came with this servo
to operate the dig function. The servo stopped
working after only 3 battery packs.
It is very unfortunate Axial chooses this servo
to put in their product line.
Too weak for the Axial Capra dig transmission. Servo burned up in two very light runs with the end points adjusted perfectly. Servo running on the recommended voltage. Do yourself a favor and get a Reefrc 99 micro servo and horn.
The Spektrum SX107 micro servo uses a 20t spline micro shaft.
***Please note that the Reefs 99 (25t) or Align DS450 & DS450 (21t) micro servos are not direct replacements as the Spekturm servo saver adapter will not work.

Don’t waste your money on this servo. Spectrum does make good servos just not this one. I put it in my SCX10 iii for the dig unit running on 6v and EPA set properly. It stopped working the first day I used it.
Guys, just a little heads up...I was made aware that if I had an HV steering-servo attached to my ESC along with these non-HV servos for my dig/2-speed and pump my ESC to HV (7.4v) to power my steering servo, you'll most likely fry these guys. So don't set your ESC to HV if you have these...get an external BEC and attach that to your HV steering servo and leave the ESC at normal voltage. Dunno if that would help you guys from burning out your servos but these weren't meant for HV. I'm not calling anyone out in particular as I didn't realize this before so this is an FYI...
And I just gave this 3-stars since it fit without issues but in the SCX10.3 JLU, it's an extremely tight fit in the 2-speed install-spot...I ended up having to shave part of the servo and the area where I installed the servo just to get the cable routed to my RX...and why they made these leads so damn short I have no idea...if you use this servo for your dig and/or 2-speed, you'll need to buy some extensions.
Use in Losi 1/18 Mini-T 2.0. Servo works well enough in smaller car. Banged it up a few times. Thought I had to replace servo ended up being a servo saver. Does it job for smaller applications.
Servo came stock in my rtr axial Capra it lasted for 2 1/2 batteries before dying!
Used on axial Ryft two speed. Set up "EPA,end point adjustment to +40R+27L . It works smooth and has tiny bit of play when in either position,so its not trying to work against its self. Probably 30/40 cycles and its still working. I dont like that you have to buy sx107 servo to get 21t horn.
only lasts a few runs before it burns out! Very disappointed !
if you would like a servo that's gonna just lock up on you in normal use then this is a good one to get...THIS SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED!!!
Went through 3 of these on my Losi Mini B. All it takes is one bad wreck and its unusable. Im currently trying the EcoPower 827 as a direct replacement and am liking it so far.
Seems like a pretty fast servo for the size of a mini b or t. Too bad since it's in a plastic case, one simple bump on the front end that's a little too hard cracked the mount on the case. No way it'd super glue back on. Now I have to go buy another one for probably the same thing to happen again. Purchased the micro reefs servo but need a custom install on that for a mini b/t since it has a 25t spline. Maybe a bumper would've saved my servo, not sure.
i think this is what comes in the axial yeti jr. its weak. get a savox and be done with it. everything i buy has a spektrum servo in it, they all fail. Now this particular one is still running in the yeti jr but it is so pathetically weak and slow. One more time, get a savox and call it good!
Cycled once then died. Was not even attached to anything. Don't waste your time and go for the Savox.
Been through 4 or 5 of these and not one has lasted a battery pack. Horizon hobby replaced them all under warranty so that’s good I guess. I’ll be upgraded on my own dime next time around.
Probably the worst micro servo ever. Honestly. It's terrible. Don't buy it. Even when it works it's extremely weak and then after a few runs it will die anyways.
Had one melt on me 30 minutes in, another not work out of the box. But have had 2 others work great with no issues, and they are easy to install. Take what you can get from a $15 servo I guess. Buy a spare if you decide to go with these.
Servo arrived not working. This is the worst service I’ve ever used. We have two mini t’s and both servos went out. Not a reflection of a main, their shipping was great.
Bought my SCX10 iii two weeks ago. Servo burned out and stay in lock position that it burned out my motor. Either remove this servo or get upgrade soon as you buy the kit.
I have bought a total of 5 of these and had Amain send me a new one for a replacement. i have 2 in SCX10 III ( i ended up with two rigs). and the stock SCX10 III gladiator. both days i have used the gladiator it has melted on and burnt the electronics on the replacement. So far the two Rubicons haven't burnt the servos but I'm able to adjust the end points on those rigs.
