Here in Australia, our tracks are mostly outdoor clay/dirt run and maintained by club members, so depending on whether and volunteers determines the surface conditions. In saying that some people will either hole punch a hundred holes in the closed cell inserts that come with the tires to make them softer or buy open cell inserts like the ones here.
I really like the Schumacher hard open cell over the medium or soft, they aren't too soft or too hard, they feel similar to re-used old closed cell. Highly recommend giving them a try
