Team Trinity REVTECH "Kill Shot" High RPM MAXZILLA ROAR Brushless Motor (13.5T)
I have tried out this motor in 2 meetings before writing this review. I use this motor in Schumacher Supastox (gt12) which is like a 1/12th pan car at 1s (3.7v), i race it indoor on carpet. This Supastox is run in 'blinky' mode so no boost or timing added from the esc. My previous motor was Team powers and i had it geared 66/29, it had good top end but it lacked getting out of the corners quickly. On the first meeting trying out this motor i was surprised how quick this motor was, i now had even more top speed and low end torque. As a result i was all over the place on the track and crashing into people (people were not pleased with me). I tried out the motor on max timing (80) and it ended up over heating within 3 mins so i put it back down to 60. With the timing at 60 the motor maxed out about 65-70c and my esc was about 60c. In the 2nd meeting with the killshot maxilla (, i dropped the timing further to 40 and went up pinion to 30(my theory was to calm down the torque) so i was now geared 66/30, i now was more able to control the car and give more consistent lap times. The temps were very good, the motor never got hotter then 50c and the esc never got hotter then 45c. So if you race in a a stock class, i would recommend this motor over any other, as this motor is faster then tekin, novak and thunder power which i race against.
