ProTek RC Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear (5mm Bore) (20T)

Pinion Screw that came with this 20T Pinion Gear continued to slip despite Locktite [red/blue]. I pulled the traxxas screw out of the original 18T Pinion Gear that came with my X-Maxx and it seems to be holding up... there IS a "break-in" period with the spur gear, so I recommend going "easy" on the throttle until the spur/pinion begin to adjust into their grooves from reving into place. Then re-tighten the screw [using locktite again]... From there it should work okay.
If this doesn't work, then I might need to go with 1.5M Pitch gearing.
