ProTek RC Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear (5mm Bore) (15T)
I got 14t, 15t, and 16t. They're nicely made pinion gears, but unfortunately they are not mod 1. Module system gears are easy to check: outside diameter equals (number of teeth + 2) times the module. The ProTek mod1 14t measured 17.00mm (not 16mm) and the 15t measured 17.93mm (not 17mm). This explains why the other reviewer observed poor fit with the Losi.

For the sake of comparison, I have a few other actual mod 1 gears sitting here. The Tekno 16t measures 17.96mm (correct), Robinson's 16t is 18.00mm (also correct), Tekno 44t spur is 45.98mm, Arrma 24t is 26.00mm.

In summary, these gears appear to be module 1.something. So if you need a mod 1 gear, don't buy this.

Should have a bigger grub screw so you can put more torque on it.

ProTek RC Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear (5mm Bore) (20T)
Pinion Screw that came with this 20T Pinion Gear continued to slip despite Locktite [red/blue]. I pulled the traxxas screw out of the original 18T Pinion Gear that came with my X-Maxx and it seems to be holding up... there IS a "break-in" period with the spur gear, so I recommend going "easy" on the throttle until the spur/pinion begin to adjust into their grooves from reving into place. Then re-tighten the screw [using locktite again]... From there it should work okay.
If this doesn't work, then I might need to go with 1.5M Pitch gearing.
