Hi-Voltage Capable This charger features a Hi-Voltage LiHV mode that allows you to safely charge Hi-Voltage LiHV capable batteries. You can adjust the charging end voltage of this mode up to 4.40V per cell, which is considerably higher than 4.20V per cell of an ordinary LiPo battery. Charging at this higher end voltage requires a Hi-Voltage LiHV capable battery, but the power gains are significant to the overall punch and power for the R/C model. But please note: battery voltages exceeding 4.20V per cell is prohibited from sanctioned racing rules, such as ROAR, IFMAR, etc.

How To Calculate Your Charging Needs
To determine if this charger is suitable for your application, you must perform this calculation to determine the maximum amp rate the charger can supply. Divide the Watts of the charger by the Voltage of the battery pack. This will tell you the maximum amp rate the charger can deliver (Watts / Voltage = Amps). For example, if using the Touch 625 AC and a 6S LiPo battery, you would divide 200 Watts by 22.2 Volts to realize a 9 Amp charge rate. This means that the charger can supply a maximum of 9 amps to a 22.2 Volt 6S battery. This amp rate will gradually reduce as the battery voltage increases during the charge cycle.

absolutely the best charger i have owned so far and my last one was the orion touch duo before it died on me( 5 months owned and no contact back from orion's customer service). the protek 625 is very easy to navigate and very simple to use which is nice compared to some out there but at the same time it also has some very complex features that arent complex to use. also 25 amps of charge rate is ridiculous for an ac/dc charger without having to lug around a huge power supply every where with you. you wont regret buying it!
Charger is awesome. I liked the thought of not having to use a separate power supply. Charges up to 25A, shows battery internal resistance on each cell. It is a big bulky and heavy but not anymore than a comparable charger w/separate power supply. Worth every penny...
Excellent charger! I upgraded from a plastic Traxxas EZ Peak charger, which seems like a toy compared to this ProTek unit. The build quality is incredible (it's built like a Sherman tank as the saying goes), and the touch screen interface is excellent. The charger auto-detects the type of battery to be charged/discharged though you want to double-check mAh and charge/discharge rate. The ability to discharge at a higher rate is particularly useful since it was taking 8+ hours to discharge a fully-charged LiPo with my old charger. Overall an outstanding product and I'm very happy with the purchase.
Absolutely go buy this charger!!! If you're looking for a charger that you can plug in and can charge 4s packs in about 20 or so minutes, this is the one!!!I used to have a slow charger that could only charge said 4s pack at about 3.5-4A. It took over an hour to charge that battery!
Love the touch screen. Even comes with a little stylus. Multi configurations for memory enables you to save any of your settings to a specific memory setting. Recall it from the charge screen and you're good to go! Even charges LiHv.
Relatively quiet for the size and how much juice it can provide. Love the dual ports. True 200w/ channel charging. You can even discharge on one side and charge on the other! MUST BUY!
Fantastic charger ! Very easy to use and powerful . It's light and compact for a charger of its power. Be sure to always plug in to a surge protector as I found out the hard way a surge will blow out the internal power supply.
This Protek RC charger is powerful and very complete while being very easy and intuitive to use!
The measurements per cell are accurate, no abnormal heating observed so far and the ventilation is not too noisy.
In short, very good product for a reasonable price.
Best AC/DC charger you can buy in my opinion. Super easy to use, charges every kind of battery and it's just a super well built powerhouse. If you want the best, here it is. You dont know what you are missing until you get a great charger.. charges everything from my LiFe 7px transmitter battery to my liHV graphene crawler 3s batts to my monster 6500mah 4s graphene HV Protek's.
This charger is for anyone wanting the best there is. Very intuitive controls, great for some one new to the hobby or an old pro. I have 2 buddies with Venoms and this is so much simpler and faster. Quality piece of equipment. Be sure to get the cables that have your connectors.
I ordered this charger for the capabilities but am initially disappointed in the performance. After using it twice, I encountered two problems and had to ship it back. The first problem was the measured internal resistance on channel two was always about twice that on channel one. I swapped batteries and measured IR using another reliable meter so I know channel two is wrong. I could have probably lived with this problem. The bigger issue was the displays started to boot up blank. First just one, then both. The charger basically ended up unusable within two days. With all that said, I’m still sold on the capabilities and Flite Test shipped out another one for me. I called them, got an RMA number and UPS shipping label, and sent it back. The day they received it, they overnighted the new one back to me on their dime. I really like all this charger will do and am hopeful these problems aren’t rampant in other chargers. I saw one other case of the blank displays in the reviews. I’m pleased with Flite Test on the return process. No hassles. I’ll try to post a followup review on the replacement charger.
Final Review 12/16/19 - Well the new charger has the same problems as the first. If you power up the charger with batteries connected, the screens will likely be blank. So I just power up the charger first. I’ve never done it this way with other chargers for safety reasons but I can live with this. The internal resistance problem still exists on the new charger. Channel two is always about twice what you see on channel one. As noted above, I know channel two is wrong. Since I know channel one is correct and I have a really good IR meter, I’m living with this issue as well. Other than these problems, the charger works great and suits my needs.
