This ProTek R/C Clamping Servo horn is designed for Team Associated 1/10 scale off-road vehicles and is machined from a solid block of aluminum alloy and anodized black color. The horn has been machined to the exact specifications and dimensions of the plastic Team Associated ASC9180 servo horn, but provides the precision, rigidity and durability required for the latest generation of high-performance R/C vehicles. The horn also weighs a mere two grams while providing the insurance of the clamping design to ensure the horn remains in place even if the retainer screw comes loose.

  • Clamping design
  • Fits Team Associated 1/10 off-road vehicles
  • Weighs only 2 grams
  • 25T Futaba/Savox/ProTek Spline Output Shaft
  • Also available in Blue (PTK-7822)

Note: Due to manufacturer tolerances, this servo horn may be a tight fit with certain servo brands.

ProTek RC Aluminum Team Associated 1/10 Clamping Servo Horn (Black) (25T)
I disagree with the above review. I have used these horns in multiple applications, from my old B5 to my servo on axle rock crawlers. I have never had one strip on me, but I guess it could happen if over tightened. Maybe the previous review got a bad one? It happens. But this is my go to horn for any application that needs a short arm, high clearance horn. That being said, I have damaged them - I bent one on a 9 pound wraith running a 370TBL servo, but only because I bound up the steering and continued to force it when I knew I shouldnt - in an application that had no servo saver. Luckily my bad ass Protek 370TBL bent the horn, rather than damaged an internal servo component...I bent it back on the trail and kept on trucking. I also damaged one in an axial bomber, but again, this was caused by abuse in a rig with no servo saver, not a faulty product.

i have now had 3 of these that i bought at my local track. only because my horn of choice is currently on backorder. (associated) now i will say that i do not have a servo saver since i primarily race. but after only half practice day with mild abuse. the spline stripped on my horn.luckily not on the protek servo. second one had no life on the car since the clamping bolt snapped with little to no tightness. third one stripped on the spline after a landing. safe to say these are pretty much junk. im not one to give bad reviews but this is one of the few.

ProTek RC Aluminum Team Associated 1/10 Clamping Servo Horn (Black) (25T)
Very disappointed in this product. While I’ve been pleased with other Protek products this “clamping” servo horn is of terrible build quality in fit and finish. While initially mildly unimpressed by the machining of the horn, I figured it will work fine. While attempting to tighten the clamping function of the horn, I noticed the screw was not building resistance and had simply stripped without my noticing. I was using a hex bit with no handle by finger. So upon my attempt at removal, it marred so badly I was simply astonished at the softness of the aluminum. So no don’t buy this. Don’t use one in a race if offered for free. I gain nothing in writing this, but sometimes things must be done out of principle.
