This is an optional MIP X-DUTY Rear CVD Kit, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Stampede 4x4 electric truck. Designed for “High Voltage” systems, the MIP X-Duty CVD was tested using the Castle Creations “Mamba Monster” Brushless System for a punishing test session. MIP Spline Technology provides smoother telescoping action than the stock parts. Additionally, MIP X-Duty CVD Drives have a 5/8 diameter CVD joint with 3/32 drive pin that has been machined from high grade Carbon Steel and hardened to perfection, for the ultimate in added strength and durability. This kit includes all the parts and hardware necessary to replace the rear drive shafts.

MIP Traxxas X-Duty Rear CVD Kit (Stampede 4x4)
I ordered both fronts and rears for my set up. I run the Pro-line ProTrac™ arms as well. If your running aftermarket control arms (which widen your wheel base) you need to order the longer bones....I pulled this info off of Pro-Lines site..... **While the stock axles will work with the ProTrac™ Suspension Kit, some customers may want a heavy duty CVD option for their truck (for Racing or Extreme Bashing purposes). The following MIP option has been confirmed to work with the kit: MIP #11104 X-Duty CVD Kit (2 Required for Front and Rear) MIP #10133 X-Duty Front Axle (2 Required for Front Left and Front Right) Additional note: If you already own X-Duty CVDs for the Slash®/Stampede® 4x4, you can use MIP #11105 Male bones to convert your drives to the new length. Axles can then be skipped in this case. Instead of using the supplied set screws to hold these to the rear I purchased 2 revo axle kits and used the supplied allen bolts to hold my axles in place. Even with red thread locker I noticed the allen set screws comming loose. The revo axle screws eliminated the problem and you dont have to worry about your expensive axles flying away. I run a 3s Lipo with a MMP and a NeuCastle 4600kv 4 pole and these have held up great. No visible signs of wear after a year of bashing. They're worth the money.

I love these. They are indestructable and they work super smooth. I would reccomend these to anyone that wants to have a seriously powerful motor or has there slipper clutch really tight.

MIP Traxxas X-Duty Rear CVD Kit (Stampede 4x4)
They add a lot of extra rotating mass to your driveline, with 2S lipo there's a noticeable drop in power and speed. For a $56 upgrade you'd expect these to be flawless. Got these shiny and new, assembled them using the included loctite on every screw, DOUBLE CHECKED every screw to make sure it was tight and secure, then took it out to bash. Not half a battery pack later and one of the grub screws came loose, sending the parts flying into the unknown. Now instead of replacing $6 plastic parts, I'm replacing $13 steel parts. Save your money, just stick to the plastic parts.

UPDATE: After reading online and other reviews, I cleaned the grub screws and used RED loctite since it's stronger. I let the truck sit out for 18+ hours before taking it out to bash. (I had a spare plastic axle to use in place of the missing MIP one.) One battery pack later and same result, the same grub screw came loose and my parts went flying into a black hole. So it wasn't just a fluke, this is a bad design. The problem is the yoke and shaft are held together by one tiny little grub screw, and there just isn't enough thread on it to securely hold everything in place. I don't want to buy any more parts to upgrade my $56 upgrade, red loctite is the strongest so I don't know how else to beef it up, replacements are $13 a pop when the stock plastic parts are $6 a pop. So when I get my parts in the mail, I'm just gonna sell this kit on eBay.

UPDATE: Got my $13 replacement parts and decided to give it one more try. This time I used a HUGE AMOUNT of red loctite, some did spill over into the ball joints and I had to wiggle them around to break free but that was my fault. It did the trick though, went through three battery packs today and no parts went flying into alternate dimensions. So be sure to use tons of red loctite, those little grub screws fall out easy. Gonna raise the score to 3 stars.

MIP Traxxas X-Duty Rear CVD Kit (Stampede 4x4)
These are great they fit my Pede perfect with my RPM arms. Not sure why they didn't work for the other guy. They are beefy and fit perfect. Use red loctite during assembly.
Buy these.....
