This is a HUDY 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool. A "must have" item for racers of all levels, HUDY is the first to bring you a tool that will not only save you money, but will also save you precious time at the track or at home.

One of the leading causes of ill-handling cars comes from improperly working suspension caused by driveline binding. In cars of all scales it is important to check and regularly replace the drive pins before they wear flat. A worn pin can cause inconsistent handling and poor overall performance. It is well known that drivers in the past have gone to great lengths to either replace their pins frequently or incur the cost of replacing the complete drive shaft.

The new compact, heavy-duty HUDY #106000 tool set will allow you to quickly and easily change worn pins in a matter of minutes.

Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool
I've had both the Mugen tool and the Hudy tool. The Mugen tool has long since been sold. I liked the mugen tool but had sheared 2 of the "push" pins. Yes they sell replacements. Makes you wonder why they sell replacements. It seems the pin they use to push the dogbone pin out is as soft or softer than the pin in the actual dogbone. Have been using the Hudy tool for a year without 1 issue. I've used it on every brand dogbone and it always works. Yes the mugen tool was more "convenient" as you didn't need a hammer but the best tool for the job is the Hudy.

Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool
what an awesome little tool!!! I just used it for the first time and it pushed pins out of my mugen mbx6t no problem. My advice is don't use a hammer like it says in the instructions use a vise to clamp the tool in. The vice offers a lot better control when setting and removing the pins.

Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool
Worth every penny. I also used a motorcycle chain breaker in the past to do this job. No comparison. Hudy tool can get the job done in 1-2min. Even works on Kyosho 2.9mm drive pins, as thankfully the push pin installed in the tool is just under 2.9mm diameter. Get yourself a heavy hammer (4lb+) and the tool works even better.

Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool
Works great, no issues at all. Great product. I used a vise and squeezed pins in and out with control. I am thinking the vise is a better idea than a hammer although I'm sure that works fine also. A vise allows precision adjustments to center pin and doesn' t mark tool if using some rubber or like material in the vise jaws. Mugen 3mm pins are great also. Use Mugen 13.8mm pins for Front and Rear CVD's and 12.8mm for center CVD shafts. They are perfect lenghth for TLR 8ight's and I'm sure most others.

Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Replacement Tool
Excellent tool. I was using a $30 motorcycle chain breaker to do it and I thought it "worked" (it was a real pain actually). I finally broke down and bought this Hudy tool. The motorcycle chain breaker was a nightmare compared to this Hudy tool. I can replace pins in a couple of minutes and without swearing during the process. :-)
