This is a set of HPI Big Bore Aluminum Shocks, and are intended for use with the HPI Savage family of monster trucks.

The HPI Big Bore Aluminum Shock Set is a four shock conversion set makes Savage trucks handle better, reduces maintenance time, and looks great too! The set is lighter, stronger, and smoother than the stock Savage shocks. The oversized shock shafts and hard anodized aluminum shock bodies deliver extra strength, while PTFE pistons, silicone bladders and titanium nitride coated shafts combine for smoother suspension movement and extra traction on bumpy surfaces.

The Big Bore Aluminum Shock Set comes pre-assembled and includes 4 high performance coilover shocks with springs, 3 different piston sets, a variety of preload spacers, complete instructions and all of the hardware needed for installation.

NOTE: These shocks are pre-assembled but do not include shock oil.

HPI Big Bore Aluminum Shock Set (4)
Much better than the hpi standard shocks for the savage. Go with at least 40wt shock oil on all the shocks. The shock piston that comes preinstalled seems fine. Although I have just jumped off of sidewalks with them so far. Overall improved handling. I haven't flipped over yet, like the hpi standard shocks. You only need 4 instead of 8.
I used all the thick spring spacers.

HPI Big Bore Aluminum Shock Set (4)
Got these to convert from the old 8 shock setup. Smoother suspension movement and much better handling. However, on the 2nd jump (~10-12ft), I landed wrong, busted a shock cap and bent a shock shaft (2 different shocks). I had to spend $30 just to fix those two parts. Needless to say I'm back to the old setup and selling this one.

I just ordered these today and i am very excited! I got these along with 5mm xl tvps, sway bars, velcro straps for the battery boxes, the suspension kit and proline big joe wheels and tire. So far the shocks look awesome, btw i would use 45wt shock oilor more. Hopefully these will be great improvement over stock shocks.
