The HobbyZone XCub 450mm RTF boasts incredibly durable EPP construction and SAFE technology to prevent crashes, making it easy to learn to fly. It includes everything needed to get airborne right out of the box, offering unbeatable value.

About the XCub

Easy To Fly

The HobbyZone XCub 450mm is a scale replica of the popular XCub by CubCrafters, renowned as the safest and most extensively tested adventure airplane ever. It’s a modern iteration of the Super Cub and the classic J-3 Cub, one of the most popular pre-WWII trainer aircraft. The XCub 450mm’s ultra-micro size makes it perfect for learning to fly RC airplanes in smaller spaces like large yards, parks, and soccer fields. Equipped with Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope (SAFE) technology, it helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation, and crashes, ensuring a successful learning experience for nearly everyone. With Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced flight modes, you can choose the level of stability and control at the flip of a switch.

Skill

Skill Level 1 “trainer” aircraft are ideal for beginners and first-time RC (Radio Controlled) pilots, as they require no prior experience to fly. Once you've successfully mastered flying the XCub 450mm, you can progress to a larger and more capable trainer or a “Skill Level 2 the Next Step After A Trainer” model.

Durability

The unique “pop off” prop saver design and advanced EPP material construction create a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe, capable of withstanding everyday flying without damage. A spare propeller is included, and if any airframe parts or components are damaged beyond repair, replacement airframes and spare parts are readily available.

Disappointed

HobbyZone XCub RTF Basic Electric Airplane (450mm) w/SAFE Technology
After one crash the gears separated and the motor no longer turns the propeller. It's not possible to fix it because you can't replace the motor housing. Advertised as durable and skill level 1/"trainer" for beginners so we're very disappointed that my son spent $100 and only got to enjoy the plane for a few minutes. Would not recommend for a beginner.
