HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF Trainer Electric Airplane (1095mm)
Haven't had a airplane in 20 years. So was recommended I get a good trainer. So I got the areo scout. 1.1mm had my instructor check everything out and it was very tail heavy so we had to add some wait to the nose. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5. First flight my instructor to it up flew for a few minutes then handed me the transmitter. I was a kid in a candy store!!!!! Great plane to fly. Very predictable. And responsive. On the second flight I took it off and flew in in intermediate mode. And with some wind. Flew awsome! So with that if your thinking of getting one do it!!!!

HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF Trainer Electric Airplane (1095mm)
1st: I am flying RC for 28 years and have trained 48 students to solo, most before there was a SAFE system. We simply had buddy-cords.

I recommend the AeroScout over others as a 1st plane and trainer for several reasons:

1. The motor and propeller are mounted on the dorsal area. This prevents damage in all but the most severe crash conditions. The
motor being an expensive and hard to replace item.
2. Tricycle landing gear, while common on most trainers, it's still a plus for training.
3. Price: It is less expensive than the Apprentice and many others.
4. While the Apprentice is larger, it is more expensive and less capable than the AeroScout. The AeroScout also fits in smaller
places for storage and transport.
5. Room to grow if you want to. Once you've conquered the basics of flight, the AreoScout is capable of moderate aerobatics, with
the Apprentice (and most other trainers) only the most rudimentary aerobatics are possible.
6. The apprentice is larger and easier to see, its only advantage.
7. The AeroScout is stable and predictable.
8. Has the SAFE system built-in.
9. Available in RTF($230) and BNF($180) versions.
10.Uses 2200 mAh, 3S batteries. This are very common and reasonably priced. Used in MANY RC planes.

There are a good number of decent trainers out there, but the AeroScout is a notch above all the ones I know of.
