This is the Novak HD8 1,900 Kv Sensored 1/8 Scale Brushless Motor. Blending power, run-time, and durability, the HD8 is ready to take on electric 1/8 scale racing, and much more. With a hand-wound stator, ABEC rated ball bearings, balanced 4-pole neodymium rotor, and large solder tabs, the Novak HD8 has everything you need. Developed specifically for 1/8 scale buggy racing and ROAR approved, the HD8 fits in all popular E8th scale racing buggies and can be used in other high power applications like the Axial Yeti XL, and the Traxxas E-Maxx, E-Summit, and E-Revo. Two models available- 1900Kv and 2200Kv.

Pure Sensor-Based Design

Sensor based motor technology has been the mainstay of all competitive racers and teams. The speed control constantly knows exactly where the motor's rotor is, and can deliver extremely smooth and controlled response. The motor does exactly what you tell it, exactly when you tell it. You cannot be more connected to your throttle then you are with Novak 100% pure, sensor-based motor firing.

Completely Enclosed Motor

8th scale tracks often get rough, rutted, rocky, and dusty. Novak’s HD8 motor features a completely enclosed design, keeping the elements out of the motor and keeping your motor running consistently pack after pack.

Heavy-Duty and Ready to Race or Bash
The Novak HD8 motor’s heavy-duty design is built for the demands of 8th scale racing.
  • Complete coverage heat sink – the motor’s can is precision CNC machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum with heat sinking to provide a large surface area for maximum cooling and long life
  • Mounting options – 2 pairs of standard 3mm mounting holes, and 1 pair of extra heavy-duty 4mm mounting holes
  • High RPM bearings – ABEC 5 high RPM bearings are installed and treated with Novak’s exclusive Speed Lube premium bearing oil to extend life and increase RPM
  • Balanced rotor - for maximum reliability and optimal performance
  • Epoxy-dipped stator - stator is wound with high-temperature thick copper wire for insane speed, and epoxy-dipped for increased thermal conductivity and reliability
  • Heavy-duty rotor shaft – ready for hard-core usage, the output shaft is 5mm
  • Full-Size hardware – heavy-duty screws for maximum reliability

Completely Rebuildable with Full Part Support
Like all Novak brushless motors, the HD8 motors are completely serviceable and rebuildable. At the track, service and repairs are a snap and you will be back to turning laps right away. Replaceable sensor harness (available in several lengths), replaceable rotor, replaceable stator, and replaceable bearings are available. You will be back into action in no time!

The Novak HD8 brushless motor is compatible with the Novak Activ8 and Activ8 V2 speed controls, as well as other popular 8th scale sensored or sensorless speed controls that can handle 4-pole motors with Kv of 1900 or 2200 Kv.

Novak HD8 Sensored 1/8 Scale Brushless Motor (1,900Kv)
Why do UNVERIFIED owner reviews on Novak motors always say bad things? Sorry Novak I tried? Obviously a hater. Maybe had one bad experience with Novak and can't let it go. From my experience, Novak motors are more balanced and faster than many big names. This is the brand that does not heat up as fast as any other, including the older velocity motors which to this day is faster than anything and runs at lower temps even without ventilation. These aren't hand wound for nothing.)
