This is an optional Traxxas Front Steel Constant-Velocity Driveshaft Set, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Slash 4x4 and Stampede 4x4 1/10 scale trucks. Traxxas Steel Constant Velocity Shafts offer the ultimate in torque handling and efficient power transfer. The outer U-joints are lubricated and sealed by a rubber boot for maximum protection against the elements, and the U-joint pins are held captive so you never have to worry about losing a pin. Gleaming nickel-plated shafts and blue silicone boots add a custom look.

Traxxas Front Heavy Duty Steel CV Driveshaft (2)
I have these on several of my trucks. Owned them for many years. They are excellent shafts for typical Traxxas basher applications. Even though they are 3x more expensive than the plastic, they are 10x better. If you are an extreme basher, i.e. thrasher, you may want MIP instead.)

Traxxas Front Heavy Duty Steel CV Driveshaft (2)
Halfshaft part not available in case of fealure. MIP supply hd shaft and parts are available separately, for less money.

Good product but no good service.)

If you use them with a RPN front shock tower, you will need to remove some plastic just below the camber link mount on the tower to give clearance for the CV boots.)
