I have 3 of these motors. One in a Scout and one in a Master Series Corsair. The other awaits a future build. The Scout flys with a 3s and the Corsair a 4s. They both fly amazing. Never heat up and they have never had let me down. Both planes can climb straight up with authority. The esc has never heated up, and the servos work flawlessly. I tried cheaper components and had issues. Now, I only use FliteTest. Never had a problem. Actually, I started using the A pack in my smaller plane. It provides enough power and sips the battery.
My power pack C arrived this morning, and did nor arrive with my flight test allen wrench. Also the engine May be powerful, but seems very small to power the Legacy alone. All together I am very pleased though, and am still very greatful to be able to support such a great company, with awesome family values.Also.If you are thinking of scratching building a kit, Don't! Order their laser cut kits, It's alot harder, and more time consuming than you imagine.
Everything works great and functions well. Used in simple scout which was probably too much umph for the plane. Is in a storch now. Motor and esc was heating up pretty high on ground with 10x4.5 slow fly propeller from apc. Master airscrew 10x4 props work prefectly though (requires some sizing to fit right since they are technically gaser props)
A rock solid starter kit that includes almost everything you need to get your foam-board airplane in the sky. The fact that it includes all the servo's and even adjustable end-stops for the push rods all in one box is a great value and the box it comes in is perfect for keeping your field tools together!
After ordering a few independent power setups I can determine from my experience that the power packs are THE BEST way to go for ordering up the parts you need for getting yourself in the air easily and without breaking the bank!
The one thing I will mention for new flyers is that the included black props tend to be brittle, and break on nearly every crash, I found grey 10x5 sport props were far more forgiving in most crashes than the included.
the servo's are terrific quality for this package deal and beat out most cheap plastic geared servos for the size to performance they provide! only had one bad servo out of 20 or so I've used (may have been operator error as well there!)
i hope this company is not racist i saw several comments and some said its good but some said its bad im south korean i hope they ship a good one to me
Everything works great so far. Can anyone tell me how to make the motor turn clockwise every time?
Great Customer Service!
Okay, a bit of a long story here, but bear with me. I ordered this power pack alongside my FT Legacy, which would be my first ever RC build. The first time I powered it up the ESC started billowing smoke and didn’t work afterwards. No biggie, it happens. I order a new ESC and try again, but guess what? It also burns up. So at this stage I’m getting frustrated and decide to contact customer support. Well, they asked me a few questions about my setup, and in a short time were able to tell me that the problem was likely a shorted servo, not the ESC at all. There is no way for me to have known, and it is something that happens very rarely out of the box. Then, without me even asking, they sent me a new ESC, and 4 new servos to make sure it didn’t happen again. So, even though there were problems, I am still giving 5 stars for the excellent customer service and trouble shooting.
Very bad experience,
I didn't receive my order more than a month ago... and customer service didn't answer to my email. I assume that my parcel is lost. I want my refund.
Very dissatisfied with the quality of the motor, the first one burnt up on the third use, I was thinking maybe I just got a bad one????? So I contacted customer service and they sent me another, but it happened again, on the second flight the motor smoked and failed, I contacted customer service once again and they said they would send me one more but if it happens again they won’t send me another because I’m probably doing something wrong, and they want to talk to see what I’m doing wrong.....I’ve been in the hobby 20 years I’m not doing anything wrong......but anyway, sure enough the other motor they sent me burned up on the first flight, I was using the supplied ESC and prop that comes with the power pack c, I was also using a modest 2200 3s 30c lipo.....I’m very unhappy they want to chalk up my bad experience with their motors claiming that I must be doing something wrong, I bought a cheap dys motor on amazon and haven’t had a single issue since. I just wish flight test would have stood behind their warranty. Lifetime warranty? I don’t think so..
Are the horns provided for the four servos?
on the image they appear in low gloss why?
