Flite Test Mini Scout Speed Build "Maker Foam" Electric Airplane Kit (609mm)
Between myself and my father we've built nearly half of all the flite test models, but the simple scout continues to be one of our favorite options. The mini scout is both nimble, and stable to fly. We've stuck and F pack motor on it and I seriously think it's one of the fastest foam-board planes we've flown on 3s lipo.
we've crashed these hard enough to split it in half and after a little patchwork it's still flying strong. I've tried folding the wings on it and couldn't (when glued correctly) and even converted a mini to aileron/elevator for yank and bank flying.
This is a tested and tried design that works great and I STRONGLY suggest the simple scout in both sizes for all new pilots. It's just a magnificent plane for how simple it is to build and how great it flies! And when you crave a little more oomph you can upgrade it with the F-pack motor for some stupid fast flight abilities!
