Now made with Maker Foam the FT Corsair represents a new chapter of Flite Test scratch built aircraft! Using techniques developed by John Overstreet which he has also used in his metalworking, this plane uses "mold together" techniques instead of the traditional "fold together" techniques that Flite Test planes are primarily known for. Peeling the paper and curving the foam not only gives the airplanes amazing scale looks but also makes it fly as good as it looks!

On this Corsair, you'll notice the beautiful curves in the airfoil and the fuselage that is a result of some of the new techniques that we are introducing. While some of these techniques will feel new if this is not your first Flite Test build, please know that once you learn them, they will be carrying over to future Flite Test aircraft so you can put them to use on future designs. There are also techniques used in the build that you are going to be very familiar with if you have built previous Flite Test aircraft.

This aircraft has a very wide envelope of speed and performance to match your skill level. Though this airplane does introduce some new build techniques you can consider it a beginner to an intermediate flyer! Bumping it up to a 4 cell battery can even give the most advanced pilots a great experience.

Flite Test Master Series Corsair "Maker Foam" Electric Airplane Kit (1168mm)
I bought the original foam board version of this and it went together very nicely. I did have a little trouble with the rear fuselage fitting together flush, but after compressing the foam on either side it's not even noticeable. After a navy blue satin finish it looks very close to the real thing. I run it on a 2200 3s and it has PLENTY of power. Only down side to the 3s is that I had to add a good bit of weight to the nose even with the battery as far forward as it would go. My advice would be to just go with the 4s so you have more weight and more power as well. Overall a very nice Flite-Test plane.

Flite Test Master Series Corsair "Maker Foam" Electric Airplane Kit (1168mm)
This is a great plane. Went together very well considering this was my first build. I used spare parts laying around from crashed planes. With a 2200 3s I can fly at 20% throttle and enjoy it for well over 10 minutes. Crank up the power and she will climb out of sight. Very stable and smooth. Hand tosses with ease and floats like a feather for landings. I have to land with no power and almost force it to the ground. Only problem I had is esc and battery get very warm so I made some breathing holes in it to get air in and out. Great job flite test.

Flite Test Master Series Corsair "Maker Foam" Electric Airplane Kit (1168mm)
This plane is not a good plane for beginners. I bought this plane having flown an rc plane many times before and I struggled a little bit because it is very fast and powerful. Make sure you know you can handle it before buying. It does not come with landing gear which is a bit strange, and I had to make my own, which were not strong enough and bent upon the maiden flight landing. Build process was fun and easy. It took me about a week of working every day to finish the build video and I still had a couple of tweaks that I had to make before flying it (for example: Build the landing gear). This plane is very fast and tough and very fun to fly if you can handle it. Be warned: This is a terrible idea to buy this plane as your first ever rc plane. I flew its maiden flight in very windy weather and it was able to fight the wind with ease. It is a big plane with a four foot wingspan! I am only thirteen years old and I still enjoyed it. Don't be intimidated to fly just because you're young or inexperienced. It is a very fun hobby, just don't buy this plane as your first one!! Experienced flyers - Buy this plane! It is awesome!
