The DragRace Concepts "Mid Motor" DRC1 Slash Drag Pak Transmission is a 90% complete transmission assembly, developed specifically for Traxxas based street eliminator builds. The transmission requires a factory Traxxas Slash Gear Differential (TRA2388X) or aftermarket equivalent, and is compatible with mid motor chassis configurations only. This transmission has been reversed, positioning the motor to the correct side of the chassis, creating a true mid motor configuration so the motor runs the correct direction when compared to flipping the standard transmission.  

The DRC1 mid motor transmission is the most precise and durable transmission available for Traxxas based drag cars. The machined steel top shaft and idler gears have been aligned so that the gears fit together perfectly. This creates more strength between the gears, improved efficiency and better overall wear. Additionally, the gear and bearing tolerances were improved compared to other transmission options for a more precise overall assembly. Plus, a machined aluminum top shaft configured to use the improved Team Associated B6 type slipper assembly is included to provide a more precise slipper assembly than the stock Traxxas setup. Finally, the rear a-arm mounts are set to 0 degrees of toe in and can accept a wide variety of Traxxas based rear a-arms.

Picked up this DRC Mid-Motor Tranny at Amain. Was nice to be able to buy one here. I have 3 total, I got 2 cases (one mid, one rear), direct from DRC before Amain had them available.
Hopefully, they will get the case-only options in stock.
So I purchased the 90% anyways as I still needed the other parts.
LOVE THESE CASES. Fill them up with a good quality Ceramic Bearings and your diff of choice (running the HR Diff case with 200k fluid) and you'll have the best tranny available in No Prep, imo.
