SOME PEOPLE CRAWL OUT OF BED I DO CRAWLING IN BED WITH MY AXIAL 1/24th Jeep Wrangler.Fun little crawler.
Out of the box I didn't even get a chance to drive it. The charger was blinking red and won't charge, after I tried it a few times the charger lights don't turn on. Also the included AA batteries were leaking inside the box.
Horizon was cool about it and they are sending a new charger out.
Bought 2 scx24 for Christmas presents. One white Wrangler and one yellow. Opening them up to pre charge the batteries before Christmas and the white one has a faulty charger. Charger got super hot just plugged into the USB and when you plug the battery in you get the famous blinking red light. Thankfully I ordered two and the yellow ones charger is good. On top of that the supplied AA for the radio were broke so when I opened them up I had battery acid all over my fingers. Update.... Christmas day got 2 charges per battery and now the other charger is dead. Won't even light up. Now I have to find a charger that won't break after 2 uses.
Great rig - plenty of power/torque and the steering servo is plenty strong. Charger was bad out of the box.
Man, what an awesome little crawler, beyond your expectations, well worth it, a great following on Facebook groups, lots of hop up and tricks, the stock USB charger is junk, so if you need a charger, get one, other than that, this is one bad little crawler
The truck is alot of fun. Little probe to flipping stock but wheel spacers help alot with some weight down low. Micro crawlers are hours of entertainment. Delay in receiving due to everything going on was no fun but now that we have it its great.
Love this little truck!I have had it since Christmas of 2019. I'm having a little issue now though, after actually driving it. When I set the transmitter too high the truck will creep forward a little bit almost like if you had your throttle trim set too far to forward, medium and low are fine. I haven't found a way to fix the problem. Other than that issue running the truck on low and medium speed it does just fine and I think it's great.
The best micro crawler on the market. I wish it were a little more true to scale, but I realize that each decision Axial made with the SCX24 was to maximize performance and fun.
I am extremely pleased with this truck I love the size and the scaleness I used this truck tons battery life is great crawling abilities are fantastic
This truck is a total blast to own, since its winter I can use it in the house. I've made a few upgrades and changes to it following some YouTube recommendations. Pretty inexpensive to own and operate, plus its small size I can take it with me when I stay in hotels.
It's a pretty cool RC. After a few mods it is quite capable for indoor crawling.
First actual crawler I've owned. My only other one is a HAIBOXING 12815 i got off amazon, which is more for racing and is imo way too fast for what I enjoy. wanted to get a Redcat gen 7 or 8 but cant really justify the price at this point. Saw some reviews on this and figured a 1/24 would be perfect to start with, can use it indoors or take it outside. So far..crazy impressed with it. Built a little "course" with some books/pillows and its got some crawling abilities for sure. The other day took it to a place some locals said had some hills for rc cars. found a pile of river rocks and it just started crawling on them no problem, made a little course on it, just having to add a few rocks here and there for some of the larger drops.
Only negative things i can say is the springs are ...springy and need some dampening. Seen some videos of people using 20m oil or some grease that looked to help it a ton.
Weight is also a bit of an issue, it feels rear heavy, so steep inclines it topples backwards more easily (talking like 50-60+degrees), but if i just lightly hold my finger on the front bumper it can make it up, so adding a few light weights on the front wheels/axle should help a ton.
Will likely order another (maybe the deadbolt version) sometime soon so i can take my nephew out and we can both have the same styles.
Note it is NOT fast, so don't get it expecting to race, its for SLOW crawling, and does it really well.
As far as battery, i was out there for about an hour and a half (racing/jumping my other rc as well), but did crawling for maybe 30-45 minutes straight before the battery died..so if you slow crawl it, you can have tons of fun. Get an extra battery or two and a power bank and when one dies, start charging and use the next = hours of straight crawling.
10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a smaller scale crawler that isn't too pricey.
This is a hoot to play with indoors.Be aware, the frame and geometry is different than the SCX24 deadbolt.I did not know this when I ordered it.
Pretty capable little crawler straight out of the box but even better with a little bit of modification. I have since removed all of the fender flares to clear tires during flex and added stick on wheel weights to the front to help keep the front end on the ground when trying to climb up steep inclines. I had a charger for all of my big cars so I never had to use the charger that is supplied with it.
The box was severely damaged but the contents were ok the esc was messed up but called customer service and and they sent me a new one right away after that everything is awesome it is a very capable little crawler I even order another one
Hobby level RC crawler that really packs a lot of fun for the money. Really like this little guys abilities.
Amazing little rig . Very happy with it and great price . I play with it more than my 10th scale now .
Fun little RC to get my daughter into the hobby. It does surprisingly well for as small as it is. We took it with us on our wheeling trip this weekend and had fun climbing some real rocks with it. Seems to be pretty durable with no broken parts so far.
This a fun little rc and a Great addition to the fleet.
Great little guy is going to be fun. Other then getting lost in shipping for 3 weeks very happy with purchase. They did offer to send another one out after 2 weeks but I did wait and it finally got found in southern cali lol
