The Arrma Kraton 6S BLX RTR 1/8 4WD Brushless Monster Truck V5 is driven by an updated, 6S-capable power system and supported by a strengthened chassis design. The Kraton 6S BLX 4WD Speed Monster Truck is ready out of the box to reach incredible speeds for thrilling, all-terrain bashing.
ARRMA engineers have outfitted the KRATON 6S BLX 4WD with a brushless power system that now features the Spektrum Firma 150A Smart ESC and Firma 2050Kv brushless motor. The combination delivers incredible torque, acceleration and speed. Heavy-duty aluminum and steel chassis and transmission components take it all in its stride. For improved steering, ARRMA also includes a steel gear Spektrum S652 Digital Servo which is 32% stronger and 5% faster than the previous version's ADS-15M servo. Add your favorite 4S or 6S LiPo battery and watch this monster truck smash your speed expectations — up to 60+ MPH in optimum conditions with a 6S LiPo battery and the included optional speed pinion gear.
The ready-to-run package now also includes a 3-channel Spektrum SLT3 radio and Spektrum SR315 dual protocol receiver. Perfect for long hours of fatigue-free bashing, the transmitter's ergonomic design features a foam steering wheel for precise fingertip control and an improved hand grip and trigger feel. If you're a new driver, you'll be able to set throttle limits at 50% or 75% until you're ready to use the full speed potential. The SLT3 is compatible with Tactic SLT receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a third channel to control optional features such as lights and winches on models that have them. Because the SR315 receiver can use SLT and DSMR protocols, you can easily upgrade to a Spektrum DSMR transmitter later — then, download the free Spektrum Dashboard app for your mobile device and take full advantage of the Smart telemetry capabilities already present in the Firma electronics. You'll be able to receive real-time updates of ESC temperature, receiver (BEC) voltage, drive pack voltage and motor RPM.

It a great vehicle. Much like any rc you have to do your due diligence before you run it the first time. Check every screw, check for grease and oil in the shocks, etc. Then again after you run it each time. The Kraton is very stable. It doesn’t do out of control wheelies or get squirrelly at high speeds. It is very stable in the sir and had a nice low center of gravity. I definitely recommend this vehicle over the competition.
Most of the parts on the Kraton EXB are included on the V5. The EXB is built off the V5 so it gets all these improvements. There are the obvious upgrades but much, much more is similar than different. Open the owners manual and check the part numbers. I'm adding the front/rear support braces for $25. and running it like that for awhile. Super capable and fun!!!
Received the Kraton 6s V5 about a week ago. Ran the truck for about 3hrs now. On 6s it's really fast and fun to bash and seems pretty durable. The only issue I had was the grub screw on the pinion gear backed out and the pinion slipped off the diff gear. Luckily the e-clip retained the pinion on the shaft and the grub screw didn't come completely out. I would suggest a little blue thread lock before running the truck.
Junk! started falling apart after 2 mins of use, pins and screws falling out, loose screws and bolts all over...got jerked around by Horizon and Amain says they are only authorized to replace parts...how about replacing everything but the body...this thing is a turd and terrible customer service from Horizon and Amain....they seem to not care. $500+ of junk!
