Team Orion has been working on battery chemistry for many years, and now is taking the next step to expand LiHv Batteries! The new Carbon Pro V-Max LiPo batteries have a higher nominal voltage (3.8V vs 3.7V) and can be charged up to 4.35V/Cell. The higher voltage allows for more performance and more capacity for the same battery size.

  • 3.8V nominal voltage (up to 4.35V/cell voltage)
  • Extreme power output
  • Enhanced Energy Density
  • Extreme power output
  • 110C discharge rate
  • 5C charge rate
  • Heavy duty gold tubes or Deans high current connectors w/high quality silicone wires
  • Robust carbon look hard case

3.8V Nominal, 4.35V Fully Charged/cell*
Capacity: 5000mAh
Connector: 4mm Bullets
Hard Case: Yes
Dimensions: 96x47x25mm
Weight: 220g
Burst Discharge Rate: 110C
Max Charge Rate: 5C

Note*: V-Max LiPo batteries can be charged using regular LiPo battery chargers but standard LiPo charge programs use a charge end voltage setting of 4.2V/cell, HV LiPo batteries have increased power and capacity by using a 4.35V/cell charge end voltage. This means that to get maximum performance out of these batteries you must use chargers that have a LiPo HV specific charge mode with a 4.35V/cell charge end voltage.

Team Orion 2S Carbon V-Max 110C LiPo Shorty Pack Battery
I've used the standard Orion shorty pack 7.4v 5000mah, ...I tried out this lipo HV 7.6v version also in 5000mah, and can honestly say there is no difference in performance. I have tried the LRP 7.4 and equivalent 7.6 HV version and there is a HUGE difference. I am not sure if my battery was mis labeled ...but it seems to be a dud. Going back to LRP's.)

Team Orion 2S Carbon V-Max 110C LiPo Shorty Pack Battery
I bought 2 of these batteries. One of them won't take a charge, only after the 2nd outing to the track. Never had issues with Orion batts, Would not recommend to purchase.)

Team Orion 2S Carbon V-Max 110C LiPo Shorty Pack Battery
I wait before I review a battery pack. I want to find out how it works over some months of use. The Orion shorty V-Max is excellent. It has performed well over 5 months of racing, testing and practice sessions. Maintains voltage under load, cells stay balanced, and does not puff up. What more could you ask. I have paid about the same price, or more, for batteries that did not last near as long as the Orion. BTW you do not need to charge it to 8.7 Volts. It works fine at 8.4 Volts.)

Team Orion 2S Carbon V-Max 110C LiPo Shorty Pack Battery
Iíve had two of these batteries for well over a year now and both are still perfect. They balance perfectly and they have never puffed or even had any swelling. They are still much more powerful than the Reedy lipo I bought around the same time.

I highly recommend them.)

Team Orion 2S Carbon V-Max 110C LiPo Shorty Pack Battery
Battery is amazing..doesn't fade...resistance is decent but for stock racing on a budget this is the ticket! It also didn't puff like the 5,000 ultra that I used 3 times...)
