160SS Low Profile Super Speed Metal Gear Servo High Voltage/Metal Case by ProTek RC
This product was added to our catalog on March 19, 2014.
This is the ProTek R/C 160SS Low Profile Digital "Super Speed" Metal Gear High Voltage Servo. ProTek R/C Servos have been developed to provide enthusiasts with high quality servo's that will exceed expectations at every level. With features that meet or surpass what our competition can provide, ProTek R/C servos deliver performance and unmatched value, with industry leading customer support.
The ProTek R/C 160SS High Voltage Low Profile servo delivers an incredible 127 oz-in of torque and 0.05 transit speed at 6.0V, and when you bump the voltage to 7.4 the spec's increase to 152 oz-in and 0.04! Spec's like these make this servo an excellent choice for any 1/12 to 1/10 scale vehicle application. Other features include a full aluminum case that provides bomb proof durability and improved heat dissipation, a metal gear train that is supported by dual ball bearings, a 160mm long 22awg connector wire with gold plated connectors, and a coreless motor.
Plus, instead of a cheap plastic servo horn, ProTek R/C goes the extra mile with an included aluminum single arm servo horn that will stand up to a majority of the punishment you can throw at it. And for additional rigidity, four blue aluminum servo ear guides are included as alternatives to the rubber grommets. Stop wasting your money on budget servos that look good in the spec list, but fall short when its time to perform. Get ProTek and don't look back.

ProTek R/C is an AMain Sports & Hobbies brand.
I have a $190 similar spec'd titanium model of a different brand (a couple differences, this has 25 vs 23 splines and black vs blue/red/black leads respectively) and this is a better servo imo.
The aluminum servo arm is great well eastily equivalent to a $15-20 standalone product.
Another review mentions the servo shaking. This could be due to wire routing and interference. I experienced this myself my short course routing wiring near the motor.)
