Team Associated 12mm Hex Wheel Adapter Set (SC10RS/SC10B)
I bought these adapters to convert my sc10 RTR to an sc10rs per recommendation of what you need. I've used plastic hexes before but none of this POOR quality. The countersunk slot for the axle pin is too deep so when you put the hex adapter on which acts as a bearing race, then install your wheels and snug them down, the tiny plastic bearing race smashes down and locks itself into your axle behind the pin. This destroys the ability to tighten the wheel down enough to remove play and they have to be pried off with a wedge and hammer after a couple days of bashing. This almost cost me my bearings as they were not getting the correct compression with the wheel knocking around. DO NOT BUT PLASTIC HEXES. It is 100% worth getting the ae factory team clamping alloy ones which I have now and they are fantastic. JConcepts would be my next choice if I manage to kill the ae factory ones. I dont see that being possible looking at how stout they are. Clamping hexes are the best. Set screw hexes compromise the integrity of the metal by holding a pressure point under high stress all the time and can cause an axle to snap. I also purchased the JConcepts front axles for this conversion to use with the plastics and now the alloys. I absolutely love these axles. You will use the bearings from your front wheel for the rs hub carrier and the jc axles are machined very clean and stout. They will use the same wheel nuts as the rear of the stock sc10 RTR so get lots of extras. For you rs guys, I don't need to tell you that these are crap. Just a fair warning to those new to the sport like myself.)
