Losiís 1/18-scale Mini-Desert Truck RTR offers a variety of performance-packed features for enhanced running both on-road and off-road. Such features include ball bearing equipped transmission, an adjustable slipper clutch, oil-filled shocks, an RX-280 motor and a full featured radio system. Combine these features with its versatile size, and you can take the excitement of desert racing anywhere with the Mini-Desert Truck.

The installed RX-280 motor provides ample torque for rough, off-road terrain as well as impressive straight-line speed when running on smooth surfaces. The Mini-Desert Truck utilizes industry standard 3-wire electronics for easy setup and compatibility or customizing. The Mini-Desert Truck includes a powerful 7.2V 1100mAh NiMH rechargeable battery pack and wall charger, and can also accommodate 2-cell LiPos.

The included Losi 27MHz radio system is available in 6 different channels, allowing multiple trucks to run at the same time. It offers features like dual rate, servo reversing and trim adjustments often only found on more expensive radios.

In addition to the fully detailed desert truck body, true-to-life roll bars, molded tubular bumpers and a skid plate add to the Mini-Desert Truckís realistic appearance. Mini all-terrain tires mounted on chrome desert truck wheels allow you to take the Mini-Desert Truck to the streets or the dirt.

Losi 1/18 Mini-Desert Truck RTR
So I picked this up at my LHS for $130 with the intent to turn it into a brushless beast. After about a month of work, I finally got everything dialed in. Hobbywing 25a esc, tacon 2030 7800 kv brushless motor, spectrum radio. It is fast! Even on nimh the car reaches about 30mph (stock gearing). Of course I installed the ball diff and dual disc slipper from losi immediately. Didnt want to take any chances. My overall impression after putting about 25 packs through it: very good car now but of course I did sink about $200 worth of upgrades in it. I did run it stock for a while too just to see how it did and as a straight out of the box rtr it is pretty sweet. Get it if you intend to run it stock. Otherwise, just pick up a mini e-revo. The merv I got ended up costing less at the end than the mini desert truck. And the merv is incomparably better. Which is why I gave this car a 4. Good for stock, not worth it to upgrade.)

This is a great truck to have fun with in small places. It is fast and will spin out and slide. You can't go wrong for the money. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a small rc.)
